Andrea Alto, MAAT, ATR
Andrea Alto has a Master of Arts Degree in Art Therapy and is a Registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association. She has had an extensive career as a professional Art Therapist and Clinical Art Therapy Supervisor for graduate Art Therapy students. A highlight of her career was to be chosen to develop and facilitate the Art for Veterans program for veterans and their families in McHenry county in Illinois.
Her artwork has been exhibited at the Lakeside Art Center in Crystal Lake, Illinois, the Old County Courthouse , Woodstock, Illinois and various community art shows in McHenry County. Andrea’s primary inspiration as a wildlife/landscape artist has evolved from living on beautiful Lake Vermillion in Northern Minnesota and ongoing art instruction with Tom Nachreiner. As a “true” Minnesota native she enjoys time kayaking, snowshoeing, birdwatching and observing the wonders of nature and wildlife.
She is a member of the Americans for the Arts, the Wildlife Society, International Crane Foundation and Barrington Cultural Art Center organizations.
