Sharron is an oil and acrylics painter who enjoys painting landscapes, still life and portraits. She teaches Adult Acrylics classes at Positive Strokes Art School and Gallery in Palatine, Illinois.

Sharron has participated in and installed several exhibitions including the following locations; Chicago Cultural Center, Prairie Center for the Arts, Positive Strokes Art Gallery, Bloomingdale Art Museum, Hoffman Estates Village Hall, the Schaumburg Library and the Black Box Diamond Gallery. Sharron founded the Hoffman Estates Art League (HEAL) (2006-2013.)

She has served as project manager and lead artist for two area Public Arts projects including a mural depicting the natural Illinois prairie for the Spring Valley Nature Center Library in Schaumburg, Illinois and wall panels for a turtle habitat at the Crab Tree Nature Center in Barrington, Illinois.

Selected as Artist in Residence in 2010 and 2013 for The Fields Project in Oregon, Illinois, Sharron spent 2 weeks painting en plein air on area farms. This program promoted the idea of combining Art and Agriculture to bring a greater understanding of both to the public.

Sharron enjoys combining travel and painting and has done en plein air painting throughout Maine, Steamboat Springs, Colorado (workshop with Keith Bond) and Sedona, Arizona. Sharron plans to travel to Georgia and New Mexico on painting trips in 2014.
