Background: BA from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin and MA in Art Education from the University of Illinois. In addition, I studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University. I am also a member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America.
I have taught art for 34 years in the public school system. Currently, I am teaching in a private art school.
Over the years I have studied and exhibited my artwork in Austria, France and Norway and have work in private collections in those countries. I have had the wonderful opportunity to paint in Giverny, France, Claude Monet’s home. I am passionate about watercolor and never cease to be excited when the loaded brush first touches the paper. I love to witness the explosion of color wet on wet. I am drawn to flowers as subject matter as well as portraits.
Lately, I have been revisiting my love of portraiture after spending many years creating portraits at art fairs and private establishments.
