Barrington Cultural Arts Center (BCAC) will showcase its members’ artwork at Deck the Walls – A Festive Pop-up Art Gallery on Thanksgiving weekend at Barrington’s White House, 145 W. Main Street, Barrington, Il. All artwork being exhibited will be available for purchase.

BCAC, celebrating its 10th year, is a local, non-profit, artists’ organization. “Our members range from hobbyists to award-winning professionals,” says BCAC president and artist member, Judy Skulborstad. “Deck the Walls will include a wide variety of art, disciplines and price points. A portion of Deck the Walls’ sales will benefit the arts initiatives of our event host, Barrington’s White House.”

Barrington’s White House, built in 1898 is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a cultural center for concerts, performances, lectures and art exhibits. With the support of the community, it has become one of the most unique historic event venues in Chicagoland.

Barrington’s White House Cultural Director, Dr. Rollin Potter says, “Barrington’s White House is pleased to host BCAC artists for a second year. This year, we have opened both the first floor and the 3rd floor ballroom for the exhibition and sale of their members’ work and have added an extra day for shopping. The House will be dressed in its holiday finest and is a wonderful time of year to visit this historic home.”

Deck the Walls starts Friday, November 29, 2019 with an opening reception from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served, with a cash bar. The event continues Saturday, November 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There is no charge for this two-day event.
