Adriana Calcev is a civil engineer by training. She also holds a Master in Organizational Psychology degree from IIT, Chicago. She has always had a passion for art. In 1998 she painted Christian icons on glass and wood. One of her pieces, a Mary and the Child icon, earned a Merit award from DuPage Art League.

Adriana became interested in oil painting in 2017. She has taken oil painting classes at Harper College, Brigantine Gallery, and Mainstreet Art Center in Lake Zurich. She has studied with established artists; Susan Ploughe, Tom Henricksen, Frankie Johnson and Steve Puttrich.

She travels around the world with her husband, and enjoys painting beautiful landscapes from exotic places like Vietnam, Cambodia and Nepal. Her main focus is on landscapes. Recently, she delved into portraiture painting.

Adriana makes her home in Hoffman Estates, IL, where she lives with her husband.
